This advertisement is for an OPS position located at Century Correctional Institution in the Food Service Department.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the oversight of daily meal preparation including production and meal service to the inmate population.
    This includes interpreting and complying with FS64-E11, OSHA, and related health and food service standards.
  • Handles raw and cooked food in accordance with sanitation standards.
  • Supervises the inmate food service workers in food production, preparation, kitchen sanitation, etc.
  • Insures preparation of meals is in accordance with the Department s master menu manual and master menu recipes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to speak clearly and correctly to individuals and groups.
  • Ability to listen effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Knowledge of a vocational skill such as food service operations.
  • Skill in performing a vocation such as food service operations.
  • Ability to work in a training capacity with people in individual and group settings.
  • Ability to multi-task, managing several areas of food service operations at the same time with different inmate workers assigned to different areas and tasks.
  • Ability to function in hot and cold conditions.
  • Ability to adapt to loud noises and work and inmates.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to all areas of food service operations.
  • Upon completion of training, ability to complete work assignments without constant direct supervison.
  • Ability to supervise 15 25 inmates in the food service area.
  • Skill ininventory.
  • Ability to calculate production requirements.

REQUIRED
Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
